To avoid any accident on the construction site while using the concrete line pumps some safety measures are needed to be followed. Couplings should be inspected which are in constant contact with the pipe or hose. Gaskets having concrete remaining are needed to be replaced on routine basis. The pipeline through which liquid concrete will flow should be inspected for wear, cleanliness and compatibility. As the joint in the pipeline pose a hazard if not matched properly, so the compatibility is needed to be checked before using joints from different manufacturers. One of the most common accident causing places is the tie-down places while pumping concrete. So, the support brackets are needed to be spaced 10 to 15 feet for proper distribution of weight of the coupling joints and should be either in horizontal or vertical position. For cleaning the pipes, it is needed to be cleaned with water. However, while cleaning the pipes with compressed air, a bleed-off valve should always be used for safety purpose.
